What is Odoo Enterprise and Odoo Community?
Odoo develops under an open-core model — it has two versions with fundamentally different access philosophies:
Odoo Enterprise — a subscription-based version. It includes everything in Community, plus dozens of additional applications and features (Odoo Studio, Field Service, Subscriptions, Helpdesk, AI features, official mobile applications), licensed hosting, automatic updates, and official support.
Odoo Community — an open-source version (LGPL license). It can be downloaded and deployed on your own server without payments to the rights holder. It includes a full set of core modules for key business processes (CRM, sales, inventory, manufacturing, projects, basic accounting, etc.).
Enterprise Pricing Grid
For the Ukrainian market, special conditions currently apply: a reduced price for the first year of use. Below are the base prices (from the second year), the promotional price for the first year is listed separately.

One App Free (€0). Free and unlimited access to one application (and its technical dependencies) — for example, just CRM. As soon as a second independent application is needed, the system switches to a paid plan. A separate 15-day fully functional trial of all applications is available.
Standard. Access to all Odoo applications in the Odoo Online cloud, without system modification. €14.90 per user per month with annual payment (€11.90 — first year promo).
Custom. All applications plus customization through Odoo Studio, working with multi-companies, access to external API, and choice of hosting (Odoo Online, Odoo.sh, or own server). €22.40 per user per month with annual payment (€17.90 — first year promo).

Real cost of Community: hidden math
Most companies choose Community due to the 'zero' license cost. However, a zero license does not mean zero implementation cost. Here is what usually needs to be refined in Ukraine for the system to actually work for the business:
Accounting for Ukraine. The standard accounting module does not meet the requirements of the State Tax Service (VAT, individual entrepreneurs, complex tax calculations, printed forms). A separate localization solution is needed; development and adaptation 'from scratch' takes from 30 to 150 hours of a programmer's work.
Electronic document flow. Community lacks a built-in document signing module — without it, it is impossible to automate the approval of contracts and acts.
System updates. When Odoo releases a new version, Community users pay for the full migration of the database and custom code to their own developers.
When each version is a justified choice
Choose Odoo Community if:
You are a startup or pilot project — you need to quickly test the business model without large investments.
You are a small business (up to 3 users) — your needs are covered by basic functionality, and you manage accounting in separate software.

Choose Odoo Enterprise if:
You need full accounting and management reporting according to Ukrainian standards (VAT, individual entrepreneurs, P&L) — this is implemented on the Enterprise basis through the localization 'Accounting for ERP' from Self ERP.
The system will have more than 3 users, with several branches, warehouses, or a multi-company network (available in the Custom plan).
No-code customization tools (Odoo Studio) and integration through an external API are needed.
Stability, an official mobile application, and regular updates without involving third-party developers are important.
