The Ukrainian ERP Forum is an annual event focused on the digital transformation of businesses, process automation, and the transition of enterprises to modern accounting and management systems. Here, company owners and executives, IT directors, integrators, and software developers come together to exchange practical experiences: implementation cases, mistakes, and working solutions. A specific goal of the organizers is to help businesses move away from outdated and dangerous software.
On October 2, we participated in the forum, and our speaker, the director of UBM SOFT Andriy Ivanchikov, appeared in several formats. A brief overview of what we discussed.
Odoo for Small Business
The blitz at the Ukrainian ERP Forum gave each participant a few minutes for a presentation, so we focused on the main points. Odoo Enterprise 19/20 is a management system, not an accounting program: sales, purchases, inventory, production, and projects operate on the same data. The cost of the license depends on the number of users, not on the set of modules, so new directions can be connected without revising the budget. We configure the Ukrainian localization of the accounting module out of the box.

The Battle of Solutions for Production
An hour, several systems, and one business scenario. We showcased a UAV and R&D manufacturer with 150–200 employees transitioning from BAS, Excel, and paper to an end-to-end process from order to shipment. 70–90% of functions are covered by standard and configuration, with custom modifications in our projects being 0–3 functions out of 153.
Panel Discussion: "What Hurts Ukrainian Business?"
Key questions: what does business need from automation today, can one system meet these requests, and why is it so difficult for companies to change their IT landscape? Also, do vendors building a single ecosystem compete, or are they already partnering?
Automation of MilTech Companies
We talked about seven recurring problems in the surveys of UAV manufacturers and ground robotic complexes: from the 'black box' in the workshop to the replacement of components that exist in the mind of the purchaser. The reason is simple: the company is growing faster than its management system.
The solution is built on Odoo Enterprise 19 with the UBM MilitaryTech industry package. It addresses requirements that a typical "box" does not cover: traceability of each product, controlled design versions, data within the customer’s scope. The material loop is initiated in 3-4 months, while the full cycle takes 5-8 months.
Thank you to the organizers of the Ukrainian ERP Forum for the event that brought together business owners and integrators in one space. Thank you to the moderators for the lively discussions, to the panel colleagues and the solution battle for the candid conversation, and to all the viewers for their questions. It is an honor for us to be a partner of such a forum, and we are already looking forward to the next one.
