The cost of owning ERP: how much does Odoo really cost

When choosing an ERP system, Ukrainian companies usually ask one question: "How much does implementation cost?" However, from a financial management perspective, this is a mistake. The right question is: "What will my TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) be - the total cost of owning the system each year?"

What is included in the TCO of Odoo systems

The total cost of ownership (TCO) of ERP consists of two main components: the license fee (paid directly to the developer Odoo S.A.) and the services for setup, consulting, and technical support (provided by a certified partner).

Odoo Enterprise License Fee

The cost of Odoo licenses depends on the chosen plan and payment frequency. For the Ukrainian market, special conditions currently apply: a reduced price for the first year of use. Below are the base prices (from the second year); the promotional price for the first year is listed separately.

Prices are indicated per user per month. The Custom plan is chosen by companies that need custom modifications, integrations with external services, or hosting on Odoo.sh / their own server.

Example: 10 users on the Custom plan with an annual subscription — about €224 per month (≈ €2,688 per year) at the base price. In the first year under promotional conditions — about €179 per month (≈ €2,148 per year).


Support and consulting from UBM SOFT

Even the most advanced ERP requires regular support: setting up access rights, training staff, connecting new reports, integrating with local services (Nova Poshta, PRRO, Ukrainian banks), and consulting for key users.

To make support costs transparent and predictable, we have eliminated chaotic hourly billing and developed four fixed packages. A double discount applies: the larger the package of hours and the longer the contract, the lower the cost per hour of expert work.

What is included in the packages (briefly):

  • BASIC — basic consultations, setting up user rights, addressing current issues. For small companies starting out.

  • STANDARD — regular system monitoring, user error correction, operational consulting support. For stable daily operations.

  • PREMIUM — additionally includes migration support, connection of new modules, and configuration of additional business processes. For companies in the growth stage.

  • INDIVIDUAL — full turnkey support: deeper customization, development of personal instructions, proactive ERP architecture development, project management, and reports on completed work.

Without a planning contract, one-time work is available at a rate of €50/hour (prepayment, minimum 10 hours).


Hidden costs that are often forgotten in the budget.

  • Adaptation to legislative changes. Tax requirements in Ukraine change regularly. Updating VAT, excise, or reporting modules requires support — this is already included in our packages.

  • Hosting. If you choose the free Community version, you need to separately rent and administer your own servers. In the Enterprise plans (Odoo Online), basic hosting is already included; for the Custom plan on Odoo.sh, the cost of hosting is charged separately.

  • Limits of the free plan "One App Free". This plan is truly free (€0) and unlimited, but only for one application (and its technical dependencies). As soon as the business needs to connect, for example, CRM with Inventory as separate applications — a paid plan begins. Separately, Odoo offers a 15-day fully functional trial of all applications — this is another option, not related to One App Free.


Case: annual Odoo budget for a company with 10 users.

The exact amount depends on the complexity of the implementation. We will show two typical configurations for a company with 10 users — from a simpler start to a working option with customizations.

The 'Start' scenario is a typical implementation without system modification: Standard license + BASIC support (10 hours/month, annual contract).

This is approximately €1,064 per month for full business automation. In the first year, under promotional conditions, the amounts for licenses in both scenarios will be even lower. For this money, the company receives licensed software with regular updates, secure hosting, and a dedicated team of certified UBM SOFT experts.

Regarding availability: the stability of the platform and infrastructure (hosting, storage) is ensured around the clock. Consulting support from specialists is provided on business days from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM; clients on support receive priority response speed according to service level agreements (SLA).

Yes. For the Custom plan, annual payment is more advantageous than monthly, and in the first year, there is an additional promotional price. From the second year, the annual price for Custom is €22.40 per user.
